Description

These gate piers and associated wall date to circa 1790 and originally fronted Kirby Hall. The design comprises two square piers, approximately 10 feet in height, decorated with bands of five glyphs in place of the more traditional triglyphs. Each pier is flanked by a curved brick wall constructed in a header bond pattern, along with a section of wall approximately 4 feet high, also in header bond.
