Description
Lion Cottages, consisting of numbers 2 and 3, are a 14th and 15th century timber-framed building, originally an open hall, which has been faced with weatherboarding. The building has a hipped tiled roof. It is two storeys high and has five casement windows. The first floor of the south-east end, number 3, which dates from the 14th century, oversails on brackets on both the north-east and south-east fronts, with a dragon beam to the south-east. There are two windows facing the south-east, and two plain doorcases. The roof is of kingpost construction. The building retains inglenook fireplaces.
