Description

Sweech Farmhouse is a timber-framed building, likely dating from the 15th century. It originally comprised a hall-house, with the hall and service wing remaining, and the parlour end having been rebuilt. The ground floor has been rebuilt in brick, now painted. The first floor of the southernmost window bay projects slightly, supported by protruding floor joists, and features close-studded timbering with curved braces. Above this is an oversailing, weather-boarded gable containing an attic window. To the north of this section is a single storey and attic portion with two gabled dormers. A doorcase with a fanlight is topped with a four-centred head.
