Description
The Oast Houses and drying shed at Chartwell Farm, likely built in the early 19th century, consist of a group of three conjoined oasts with an attached drying shed. The structure features random rubble masonry, conical tiled roofs, and wooden cowls. There are brick-lined drain holes in the foundations. The drying shed is two storeys high with four bays, a few irregularly placed windows, and one door on the ground floor and another on the first floor. It is constructed of random rubble with brick quoins and dressings, and there is a large modern window in the upper floor of the west end. The building is currently used as a garage and storeroom.
