Description

The Church of St Mary, located at the south end of the Village Green in Sundridge, was built between 1865 and 1866 by C H Cooke. It features galleted squared random rubble masonry and has a slate roof. The church has an aisleless nave and chancel, with a small north tower topped by a shingled spire and corner buttress. There are short transept-like projections and a gabled south porch made of timber on a stone foundation, all designed in the Early English style. Inside, the church boasts a high chancel arch supported by angel corbels, and the arch-braced nave roof is held up by varied leaf corbels.
