Description
Wickens is a restored structure from the 15th century or earlier, now divided into two separate houses, likely originally designed as halls joined end to end. The left part is taller, with two storeys and three irregularly placed windows, while the right part has two storeys and two windows. Both sections feature large hipped roofs covered with renewed tiles. The first floors display exposed timber framing with plaster filling, and the ground floors are made of red brick with a pattern of blue headers. The houses have modern diamond leaded casements and two plank doors situated under bracketed leaded hoods. The roof slopes low at the back. Inside, there are exposed timbers, although the inglenooks have been filled below the beams.
