Description

This is a house built in 1923 by Baillie Scott & Beresford for Sir Guy Nott Bower. It is constructed of brick in a stretcher bond pattern, with a tiled roof and two brick stacks. The house has an asymmetrical plan. The front elevation features two projecting gables and a two-storeyed porch. To the left, a half-hipped section has a four-light mullioned casement window on the first floor and a similar window on the ground floor. A recessed section is provided for a double window. The central two-storeyed entrance porch has a double mullion window on the first floor and an ogee-arched doorcase with impost blocks, leading to a three-panelled door. To the right is a gable with a three-light mullioned window on the first floor and three windows on the ground floor; the centre window is four-light, and the other two are two-light. Inside, there is a spiral staircase and several plank doors.
