Description
Blue Bonnets is a house built in 1924 by Baillie Scott & Beresford for Mr. H. M. R. Pothecary. The building features red brick that is partly rendered, with a steeply pitched tiled roof and two chimneys. It is an asymmetrical structure of two storeys and attics. On the left side, there is a gable with casement windows and two flat-roofed dormers, also with casement windows. The centre of the house has a two-storey entrance porch that is jettied, supported by end brackets, and includes side-lights and a three-plank door. The right side features a tall window and a casement, along with a three-light bay on the ground floor. The rear elevation is primarily brick, with two tile-hung wings on the sides and mullioned windows, including a large central two-light bay. Inside, there is a contemporary staircase and a mantlepiece.
