Description

This coal taxpost, located half a mile north of Skeet Hill, dates from 1861 and is made of cast iron. It has a square shape with chamfered sides and moulded caps, and it features a shield from the City's Arms. The taxpost is classified as number 201 type 2d in "The Coal Duties of the City of London and their Boundary Marks" published in 1972.
