Description

The Coal Taxpost located outside the Central Service Station dates from 1861 and is made of cast iron. It has a square shape with chamfered sides and moulded caps, featuring a shield from the City's Arms. This taxpost is classified as No 192, type 2, in "The Coal Duties of the City of London and their Boundary Marks" published in 1972.
