Description

The Coal Taxpost at the junction with Farnborough Hill is a cast iron structure dating from 1861. It has a square shape with chamfered sides and moulded caps, and it features a shield from the City's Arms. This taxpost is classified as No 194 type 2 in "The Coal Duties of the City of London and their Boundary Marks" published in 1972.
