Description

The Coal Taxpost located outside the Baptist Church dates from 1861 and is made of cast iron. It has a square shape with chamfered sides and moulded caps, featuring a shield from the City's Arms. This taxpost is classified as No 193 type 2C in "The Coal Duties of the City of London and their Boundary Marks" published in 1972. It was created by Martin Nail.
