Description

The Coal Taxpost located outside No. 49 on Goddington Lane dates from 1861 and is made of cast iron. It has a square shape with chamfered sides and moulded caps, featuring a shield from the City's Arms. This taxpost is classified as No. 198 type 2d in the publication "The Coal Duties of the City of London and their Boundary Marks" from 1972.
