Description

The front garden wall to the south of Quebec House is a Grade II listed structure, primarily built in the 18th century. It is constructed of brick and features a dentil cornice along the top, which is complemented by high, sloped coping. The wall is punctuated at intervals by square piers, some of which have ball finials; these are made of stone, while others have been replaced with cement. A bronze plaque is affixed to the wall, commemorating General Wolfe's residence at Quebec House from 1727 to 1738, as well as noting the gift of the house by Joseph Bowles Learmont in 1913.
