Description
Killick's Bank is a late medieval hall house that has undergone alterations. It is two storeys tall with an attic and features four windows that are arranged very irregularly. The building has a very high pitched hipped tiled roof, complete with ridge gablets and a later compound stack. The gabled right end suggests that one bay has been demolished. The exterior displays visible timber framing with plaster filling, while the modernised gabled front projection includes 17th century timber work inside, which is partly half-timbered and partly brick. The windows are small modern leaded casements. The rear elevation is finished with tile hanging and brick. Inside, there is much exposed timber, including plank and muntin dais panelling with an embattled beam above, as well as a square crown post in the attic.
