Description

The Old Brickmakers is an 18th-century double-span house located on High Street in Leigh. It is a two-story, three-window building with a tiled roof. The first floor is tile-hung, while the ground floor is brick. Late 18th-century sash windows with glazing bars and segmental heads are present on the first floor. The ground floor features late 19th-century sash windows. A one-story west extension exists; the left portion dates to the late 18th century, and the right portion is a modern addition. To the left return, 19th-century casements are visible on the first floor, alongside a sash window on the ground floor and a four-panel door with side lights and a fascia board, forming a small shop front on the left.
