Description

Hazelpits Farmhouse is a late 18th-century farmhouse, though it may incorporate an earlier structure. The building is timber-framed with tile hanging to both floors, and has a plain tile roof. It is a double-depth plan, two storeys high with a garret, and sits on a brick plinth. The front has a moulded wooden eaves cornice, and a half-hipped roof. A central brick stack is present, alongside a slender projecting rear stack to the right. The front facade has a regular arrangement of three windows. These consist of two tripartite sashes and a central sash, all with marginal glazing bars. Two taller tripartite sashes are on the ground floor. A central door has base panels and two vertical round-headed lights, beneath a flat bracketed hood. A single-storey addition to the rear, on the right, features a 36-pane window and a broad stack. The interior has not been inspected.
