Description
This sundial, located about 33 metres south of the flight of steps leading to Linton Park, dates from the early to mid-18th century and was created by Thomas Wright. It is made of stone and features a metal dial. The sundial is supported by a vase pedestal with an Ionic capital, which is set on a chamfered rectangular stone base. The dial is inscribed with the words: "Made by Thomas Wright, Instrument Maker to His Majesty Geo Ye II."
