Description

The former Coxheath Congregational Church, built in 1825, is a single-storey chapel constructed with a timber frame and clad in weatherboarding, topped with a slate roof. It is positioned at right angles to Linton Road (A229) and stands on a rendered plinth. The gable end features plain bargeboards and a pendant, with a circular bullseye window at the center. Flanking the porch are two tall round-headed windows with Y tracery, all adorned with slightly-moulded architraves. The entrance consists of a panelled door located in a central single-storey weatherboarded porch, which has a slate roof and a slightly-moulded pedimented gable. The interior has not been inspected. The building was marked as a Wesleyan Methodist Chapel on the 1865-67 Ordnance Survey map.
