Description
Nos 2, 4 and 6 High Street is a shop and office row that dates from the 18th century or earlier. The ground floor features a chequered pattern of red and grey brick to the left of the stack, with red brick in Flemish bond beneath and to the right of the stack. The first floor is pebbledashed at the front, while the left gable end is constructed of brick in rat-trap bond. The building has a plain tile roof that is half-hipped to the left. There are two storeys, with a brick ridge stack located to the left of centre and another at the right end. The fenestration is irregular, consisting of three sixteen-pane sash windows: one to the left and two to the right of the stack. The shop front to No 2 on the left is in an early 20th-century style, while No 4 features a door with flush panels and a flat bracketed hood situated between the central and right first-floor windows. No 6 has an early 20th-century shop front that includes a half-glazed door at the right end. The interior has not been inspected.
