Description

This is a headstone located approximately 3½ yards south of the south vestry of the Church of St Mary and All Saints, dating from the mid-18th century. The headstone is made of stone and features two half-scrolls that roll towards the center, with their tops connected by a convex bridge. Beneath the outer ends of each half-scroll, there is another scroll, each with a small roll at the top facing outward and a larger roll curling towards the center of the stone. The head is carved with a central gadrooned vase, accompanied by a mask on the left side; the carving on the right side is indistinguishable. Trailing foliage extends from the bases of the side scrolls across the top of an incised area, which has beaded edges. The inscription on the headstone is largely illegible at the time of the last survey.
