Description
The White Horse is a public house dating from the 16th century. It features plastered timber framing and a plain tile roof. The north front has two storeys and cellars set on a stone plinth, with a continuous bracketed jetty and a dragon post at the left end. The façade consists of approximately four timber-framed bays with irregular fenestration, including four small two and three-light casements on the first floor. There is a truncated projecting stack at the right end and a 20th-century half-glazed door at the left end, accessed by three steps.
At the left end, there is a single-storey 20th-century extension with a wrought iron balcony above. The rear wing to the left contains approximately two timber-framed bays. The east elevation, facing the Green, has a painted brick ground floor and rendered upper sections, also with a plain tile roof. This side has one storey and attics, featuring a 19th-century canted bay window on the ground floor and two eaves dormers with large casements. The ridge stack is off-centre to the right, and there is a 20th-century door in a lean-to porch to the left.
