Description

This is a 17th or earlier farmhouse, now divided into two houses. It is timber-framed and was likely converted into cottages in the 18th century. The ground floor is constructed of chequered red and grey brick, while the first floor is tile-hung. The right gable end is weatherboarded. The building stands two storeys high on a brick plinth, and may have an underbuilt jetty to the front. It has a hipped roof with a multiple brick ridge stack located towards the centre. The windows are irregularly placed, comprising four 2 and 3-light casements. Boarded doors lead to each cottage, one to the left of the stack for No. 2 and one to the right of the stack for No. 1, both accessed by two steps. A rear lean-to is present. The interior has not been inspected.
