Description

Tudor Cottage is a house, or possibly a small barn originally, dating from the 17th century or earlier. It is timber-framed, with the ground floor rendered and the first floor weatherboarded. The right gable end has exposed timber framing, showing two intermediate full-height posts and a midrail, with painted brick infilling. The roof is covered in plain tiles and is steeply pitched with gablets. A central brick ridge stack is situated on the front slope of the roof. The windows are irregularly placed, consisting of two three-light, horizontally-sliding sash windows. A boarded door is located in a small rendered lean-to at the rear of the right gable end. Historically, the property was known as "Cottage at Boughton Green", located adjoining Lewis Court on the north-east, and was occupied by a person named Kemp. The interior has not been inspected.
