Description
Little Buckland Farm Cottage is a building that probably dates from the 14th century. The ground floor is constructed of stone, while the upper part features timber-framing at the east end with plaster infilling and a jetty. The center section is made of stone, and the west end is completely plastered. The cottage has a steeply pitched hipped tiled roof with a pentice on the west side. There are three casement windows and a two-centred doorway on the north side, which has a continuous hollow chamfer. This house represents the hall and solar-service end category, which predates the fully developed Wealden plan. It also features a crown post roof.
