Description

Barnside is a building from the 17th century or earlier. It features a timber frame that has been faced with brick on the ground floor, with part brick nogging on the first floor and the remainder tile-hung. The roof is tiled and the building has an L-shaped plan with a small gable at the center front. There are modern metal windows installed. At the south end, there is a modern single-storey butcher's shop that projects forward, constructed from brick and tile. The south gable end has a sandtex type finish.
