Description

The Church of St Mary is a Roman Catholic church located on Rochester Road in Denton. This building dates from the 12th to 13th centuries and was originally the parish church of Denton before the current parish church was constructed in the 14th century. It fell into ruins during the Reformation but was restored in 1901. The church was opened as a Roman Catholic church in 1940. It is built of flints and features a tiled roof, with little medieval work visible on the exterior.
