Description

This is a table tomb located approximately 5 yards southeast of the south aisle of the Church of St. Augustine. It dates from the mid-18th century and is constructed of stone on a brick base. The tomb features a moulded plinth and a corniced lid, with moulded pilasters at the corners and fielded panels. There is an inscription on the lid commemorating Henry Read, whose date of death is unclear, and his wife, who died in 1740. The inscription was barely legible at the time of the last survey.
