Description

This is a headstone dedicated to Henry Howell, located about 10 metres south of the porch of the Church of St Mary. It dates from the mid-18th century and is made of stone. The headstone features a shaped and scrolled top that is intricately carved with three skulls, two of which are foliated, while the central skull is accompanied by bones. The stone is divided vertically, with the left side left blank and the right side inscribed with details about Henry Howell, who died in 1754. There is also an inscription dedicated to his son across the bottom of the headstone.
