Description
The Cinque Port Arms is a building from the 18th century or earlier, located at 1 High Street. It is two storeys tall, constructed of painted brick, and features a tiled roof. The building has a brick modillion eaves cornice, with the bricks inserted diagonally so that the points protrude. On the ground floor, there are three sashes with intact glazing bars, while the upper floor has two modern small bay windows. The entrance is marked by a doorcase that has a flat hood supported on brackets. At the southeast, there is an L-shaped wing made of painted brick and weatherboarding, resting on a brick and rubble plinth. The Cinque Port Arms, along with No 3 and West Lawn on Lydd Road, forms a group.
