Description

Cottage. The north part dates to the mid-19th century, while the south part is likely from the late 18th or early 19th century. The north part is weatherboarded with a hipped slate roof and a brick chimneystack. It has two storeys and two windows, featuring casement windows. A central gabled projection displays a cambered blank space and the inscription "Cliffe Cottage." A late 18th or early 19th century doorcase features a pediment and panelled risers. The south part is also weatherboarded with a hipped tiled roof and a brick chimneystack. It is two storeys high with two windows. The right side has a 12-pane sash window, while the left side has a two-story mid-19th century five-light canted bay. A doorcase is adorned with a trellis-work porch.

Regarding Nos 1 and 2, the front part of No 1 is probably from the 18th century. It is two storeys high and weatherboarded, with a hipped slate roof and two casement windows. The ground floor features an 18th to early 19th century doorcase with a pediment and panelled risers. Behind No 2 is an 18th century portion, two storeys high and weatherboarded with a steeply pitched old tiled roof, half-hipped at one end. It has one sash window and one bay window extending through all floors, accompanied by a doorcase with a tent-shaped canopy. Nos 2 and 3 are three storeys high and weatherboarded with a steeply pitched old tiled roof half-hipped at one end.
