Description
Radnor Lodge is a mid-19th century, three-storey-and-basement building with a hipped slate roof, located on the south side of Sandgate. The exterior is colourwashed. The building features four sash windows, with two centrally positioned windows extending through all storeys. A paired bracket eaves cornice is present, along with long and short quoins, and stringcourses between the floors. The second-floor windows are cambered casements with vertical glazing only. Ground-floor windows are round-headed, retaining their original glazing bars and incorporating keystones and pilasters, while the ground floor itself is rusticated. A projecting section features two three-light sash windows and a doorcase, topped with a dentilled cornice. This projection is framed by four Tuscan pilasters, encompassing a round-headed doorcase and narrow lights between the pilasters. It forms a group with numbers 6 to 22 (even).
