Description
This is an outhouse, which was once used as stables, located 5 metres north of Uphousden Farmhouse. It dates from the late 17th century and is constructed of red brick in an irregular "Minster Bond" pattern. The building has a pantile roof and is one storey high with an attic, set on a plinth. It features one gabled dormer and a stack to the left. The front includes two wooden casements with segmental heads, a central boarded door located in a kneelered gabled porch, and a segmental headed boarded door to the left. There are also garage doors that were added in a later 18th century extension to the right.
