Description
Cook's Farmhouse is a house dated 1696, constructed of painted brick with a plain tiled roof. It stands two storeys high on a plinth and features a plat band. The gable ends have kneelered parapets with segmental heads, and there is a stack at the left end. On each floor, there are two three-light wooden casements. The central boarded door is set within a 20th-century gabled porch that has a re-set date stone inscribed with "B I M 1696." This porch obscures the original full-height brick door surround, which has a moulded open pediment supported by pilasters. To the left, there is a two-storey extension with one wooden casement on each floor. The gable ends include oval recesses, with three on the left and five (now filled in) on the right.
