Description

This is a house, dated 1675, with an extension added in the early 19th century. It is constructed of red brick with a plain tiled roof. The house follows a lobby entry plan. It has two storeys and an attic, built on a plinth with a plat band, and features a hipped roof with a hipped dormer and a stack located centrally to the left. The first floor has three glazing bar sashes framed by pilaster strips resting on moulded corbels. Similarly, three glazing bar sashes are on the ground floor, set within lugged and shouldered surrounds, which originally accommodated smaller windows. A four-panel door, with a moulded surround and flat hood, is centrally placed on the left side. There is a moulded recess above the door on the first floor, now glazed. A recessed wing, dating from the early 19th century, extends to the left; it has a slate roof, one segmental-headed glazing bar sash window, and a boarded door. The date 1675 is inscribed on the internal brickwork.
