Description
The Poplars is a 17th-century house constructed of red brick with a plain tiled roof. It features two storeys and a basement, along with an attic, all set on a high plinth with a plat band. The roof is adorned with Dutch gables, pediments on scrolls, and two raking dormers. There are chimney stacks on both the left and right sides of the building. The front has a regular arrangement of windows, including three glazing bar sashes on the first floor and two on the ground floor, all with gauged heads. To the right, there is a segmental-headed opening for the basement. The central entrance door consists of six panels, with the top two being glazed, and is accessed by a flight of four steps. The return elevations feature a brick cornice and oval recesses in the gable ends.
