The building comprises a pair of houses dating from around 1840, located on London Road. Constructed of brown brick with a stuccoed ground floor, the houses are three storeys high and include a basement. A dropped moulded eaves cornice is topped by a parapet. Each house has two-paned sash windows with intact glazing bars. The first floor features a cast iron balcony. The ground floor windows are round-headed, as are the doorcases, with steps leading up from the street. Nos. 263 to 270 form a notable group.
