Description
The Fitzwalter Arms is a public house located in Goodnestone, dating from the early 19th century. It is constructed of brown brick and features a plain tiled roof. The building stands two storeys high on a plinth, with a two-storey porch positioned to the centre left. There are diagonal stack clusters located to the centre left and the rear right.
On the first floor, there are four two-light Dering windows, each with label drips, while the ground floor has three three-light Dering windows. The porch has a blank semi-circular arched recess, with a semi-circular doorway on the right side of the porch. This doorway leads to a six-panelled door at the top of five steps, which is complemented by a wreathed iron handrail. To the right, there is an outshot, and the rear features weatherboarded and tile-hung wings.
