Description

The pump located at the northeast corner of the former Three Kings Public House is a cast iron water pump dating from around 1840. It features a spout with a hook for holding a bucket and is equipped with a monkey tail handle that is finished with an acorn. This pump is part of a group that includes Nos 3 to 15A (odd) Three Kings Yard, Nos 1 to 5 (consecutive), the pump and railings, the remains of a chapel, and Nos 19 to 23 (odd), which collectively form a significant architectural context with Nos 8 and 10 High Street.
