Description

Three Kings is a public house located on Strand Street, with its front dating from the late 18th century. Above the entrance to the yard, there is a carved bressummer from an older building, dated 1603. The building is two storeys high and features three windows. The front is made of painted brick, while the ground floor is stuccoed. It has an eaves cornice and glazing bars, along with a round-headed doorway. The entrance to the yard is situated at the north-west end of the front. The south wing, which is entirely 18th century, is constructed of red brick and includes a doorway with a rectangular fanlight and a flat hood supported by carved brackets. The property is part of a group that includes Nos 3 to 15A (odd) Three Kings Yard, as well as the Pump and Railings, Chapel Remains, and Nos 19 to 23 (odd), forming a cohesive architectural ensemble with Nos 8 and 10 High Street.
