Description

The Crispin Inn is a 16th-century timber-framed building located on High Street. It has been altered in the 18th century but retains the overhang of its first floor supported by a bressummer. The first floor is plastered, while the ground floor is roughcast. The building has two storeys with six windows facing High Street, two windows facing Strand Street, and one window in the splayed angle. All windows are sash style with intact glazing bars. The Crispin Inn, along with the Barbican and Nos 4 to 12 (even) Strand Street, forms a group of buildings of architectural significance.
