Description

Sandwich United Reformed Church is a mid-19th century brick-built and rendered structure. It features a square-headed doorway with an entablature and a panel above, along with a Gothick-headed door located under the eaves gutter. The church has a tiled roof from the 17th century, supported internally by two ship masts, which are said to be a thank offering from the ship that brought refugees to this location. The church is part of a group that includes Nos 14 to 22 (even) and St Johns Hospital Almshouses, as well as Nos 2 to 12 (even) Moat Sole.
