Description
Guilton Rectory is a house that dates from the late 17th century and was remodelled in the mid-19th century. It is rendered and features a plain tiled roof. The building has two storeys and an attic, set on a moulded plinth with rusticated quoins. The roof has a parapet with segmental shaped gables, three hipped dormers, and chimney stacks located at the rear left, rear right, and end right.
On the first floor, there are five sash windows, while the ground floor has two canted and hipped bay windows along with a central door made up of six raised and fielded panels. This door is topped with a rectangular fanlight and is framed by a segmental pediment supported by fluted Corinthian pilasters, with a moulded frieze above. To the right, there is an outshot that includes one glazing bar sash window.
Inside, the staircase hall features dado panelling and a two-flight dogleg staircase with turned balusters and a ramped handrail on an open string.
