Description
Yeoman Cottage is a house dated 1624, featuring a timber frame with exposed red brick infill and a red brick underbuilding in irregular bond. It has a plain tiled roof and is one storey high with an attic, set on a plinth that includes a corbelled plat band and exposed timber studs on the upper wall. The gables are kneelered, with stacks on both the left and right sides, and there are two hipped dormers. The front has two cross-windows with leaded lights and a small round-headed window to the left. The central door consists of six sunk panels, with the top two being glazed, and is topped by a flat hood supported by brackets. At the rear, there is a hipped wing. Above the door, there is a brick inscription reading: L 16 H M 24.
