Description

Cape House is a house dated 1724. It is constructed of red brick with a plain tiled roof. The building follows a lobby entry plan and comprises one storey and an attic, topped with a hipped roof. Three gabled semi-dormers are visible, along with a stack centrally positioned on the right side. The front facade features three glazing bar sash windows with cambered heads. A central door, consisting of six panels within a panelled surround, has fluted pilasters and a flat hood supported by consoles. A date plaque, set within a semi-circular recess in the top left corner, is ornately inscribed with “R E A 1724”. The left return side of the house exhibits channelled render, a plat band, and quoins. A parallel wing at the rear is tile-hung.
