Description

Nos 16 to 20 Church Street in St Mary's is a two-storey building with an early 19th-century facade made of painted brick. The rear of the building features Caen stone and flint, along with yellow Dutch brick. It has a tiled roof with modillion eaves and guttering. The first floor has three sash windows with glazing bars, while the ground floor also has sash windows, all beneath flat rubbed brick arches. There are three doors, each with fanlights that are currently painted over, set within semi-circular half brick arches. No 16 has a four-panel door, while Nos 18 and 20 have six-panel doors. Additionally, there is a battened door leading to a passage that provides access to the rear. This building is part of a group that includes Nos 16 to 22 and the walling to the rear of Nos 16, 18, and 20, as well as Nos 26 to 34 and the walling between Nos 32 and 34.
