Description

No. 21 Market Street is a three-storey building dating from around 1830. It features four windows and has stuccoed walls with a modillion eaves cornice. Most of the glazing bars are intact. The entrance includes a porch supported by fluted Doric columns, leading to a round-headed doorway with a semi-circular fanlight above. On the ground floor, there are two large modern bay windows, each topped with a cornice and containing glazing bars. This building is part of a group that includes Nos. 15 to 21 (odd) and Nos. 1 to 5 (odd) known as The Butchery.
