Description

This is a 16th-century timber-framed building that was refronted in the 18th century. It is located on the west side of The Butchery and has two storeys with an attic. The building has two windows and a dormer window. The front is plastered, with sash windows and one 18th-century shop window. The original glazing bars are intact in all windows. A six-panel moulded door is present. The overhang of the first floor is preserved, supported by a bressumer. The building is part of a group with numbers 1 to 5 (odd) and numbers 15 to 21 (odd) on Market Street.
