Description
This structure consists of a wall and an outbuilding located about 25 metres south of Cottington Court Farmhouse. It dates from the 17th century and incorporates some medieval remains. The wall is made of red brick and stands approximately 6 feet high, featuring buttresses. It encloses two sides of a garden that measures about 25 metres by 25 metres. At the south-west end, there is a flint lean-to that has been reconstructed from medieval materials, likely the remnants of a chapel that was once attached to Cottington Court. This building is included for its group value and is partly situated in Northbourne parish.
