Description
The Dower House is a 17th-century house constructed from red brick and flint, set on a rendered base and topped with a plain tiled roof. It has one storey and an attic, raised on a plinth, featuring three buttresses and a plat band. The roof includes three hipped dormers and has stacks positioned to the left and centre right, along with a kneelered parapet gable on the left side. The building has three segmentally headed wooden casements and one wooden casement in an extension at the left end. To the right, there is a door with three moulded panels, framed by a moulded architrave and topped with an open segmental pediment. The front displays iron wall ties, which are partly obscured, with at least one marked as P and H on the south front. At some point in its history, the building was used as a village school.
